Business based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company was founded by
Melvin Johnson, a civil engineer and Ret. Vietnam Veteran with two
Purple Hearts for being wounded in two tours of duty. Mr. Johnson’s
founding of the Company was motivated by a passion to help young
Veterans access job, career and business enterprise opportunities
within the key and emerging industry sectors. The core competencies of
the Company are the result of its management team’s decades of
professional experience in traditional and emerging multimedia
communications, digital technology and education. |

MT established the Veterans
Opportunity Network a platform for Veteran outreach to those
who are seeking to secure work by gaining a competitive edge
by way of access to innovative resources designed to improve
a knowledge of required skills and education and successful
opportunity matching with industry workforce and small
business development industry representatives –
specifically, within the Oil and Gas industry. The Company
also positions business and industry, education resources,
government, and organizations that serve Veteran in its
Opportunity Matching enterprise. |
The JMT Management team
Stanley Richardson, Johnson Media Tech,
Inc., Managing Venture Partner brings 35 plus years of content
production, business management and fundraising to the Veterans
Opportunity enterprise. His journalistic experience has its roots
in his a decade of work as a news editor with NBC News in Burbank,
California. While at NBC he also worked with Dick Clark
Productions, alongside music giants such as Quincy Jones at A&M
Records, with whom he received multiple gold and platinum music
awards and industry accolades, and served as an Associate Producer
on a ground breaking television report on the recording industry
as a five part NBC Today Show special. Richardson completing his
under-graduate education at the University of Pittsburgh and
served as the University's media consultant and media project
fundraiser. He then launched his career as an executive television
producer with at the PBS affiliate in Pittsburgh WQEX/WQED where
he combined print and television content for and about women and a
unique media sales campaign to great effect. In Florida he then
launched a small business television show on WPBF, an ABC
affiliate in West Palm Beach, FL before locating to New York to
establish a media venture firm in the early to mid 1990's, while
making investments in the cutting edge world of online services
and electronic journalism. After receiving offers from IBM, AOL
and Apple, Richardson choose to create content services for what
was to become MSN (the Microsoft Network) where he developed Food,
Nutrition and Health content as well as Small Business content and
New Age content. Again, Richardson’s unique brand of content and
approach to media sales complemented Microsoft’s effort to attract
top tier advertising clients for MSN. As a consultant to
Microsoft, Richardson developed content for Microsoft.com/Smallbiz
and produced one of the first MS Office downloadable applications
for the small business market. As an entrepreneur and angel
investor, Richardson introduced one of the first online video
services targeting the enterprise sector, the Smallbiz Video
Network

then Richardson managed the development of Johnson Media Tech,
Inc. (SDVOB) and it’s founding of the Veterans Opportunity
Network.
Joyce Johnson,
Corporate Operations Manager, Joyce Johnson. Ms. Johnson brings to the
JMT her decades of experience as accounting manager in the media and
entertainment industry, and a BS degree she received in Business
Administration. Specifically, she has held managerial level accounting
positions at PBS affiliate, WQED, in Pittsburgh and WNET, the PBS
network flagship station located in New York. Ms. Johnson has hands on
knowledge of how media companies operate and are administered. She
comes from a family of entrepreneurs and possesses the special set of
skills needed to competently start, run and grow an enterprise.
Carol Hasegawa,
Education and Training Manager, brings 20 plus years of education
experience to JMT as a former classroom instructor, a successful
proprietary school owner in Japan for e business enterprise
executives, a curriculum writer and a director of education at a
proprietary school teaching life sciences. Ms. Hasegawa has extensive
experience in working with underserved populations and has conducted
events, training and consultation to business development groups and
technology consortiums seeking solutions to the digital divide for
purposes of educating the disadvantaged.
George J. Kramer, Award Winning News Editor and
Producer and Motion Picture Studio Post-Production Supervisor, brings
to JMT more than three decades of Film and Television experience. At
NBC in Burbank, where he worked alongside Stanley Richardson, George
received Golden Globe Awards for both editing and producing, as well
as the coveted Los Angeles Press Club Award for Producing. After his
tenure at NBC, George joined Warner Bros. pictures in Burbank, CA and
was instrumental in their post-production transition from film to
non-linear computer editing, and eventually put under contract as
Post-Production Supervisor/Technical Operations. Retiring after twenty
years at Warner Bros., Richardson and Kramer re-united to work
together on feature film and television Venture development.
Currently, George supervises JMT's creative development activities
including video and the use of new and emerging technologies to
enhance the production and distribution of visual media content.
Noelle Chartier
brings to JMT over 20 years of meeting planning experience involving
conferences and meetings ranging from 25 to 10,000 attendees. Ms.
Chartier has extensive experience in managing large conventions with
40 concurrent sessions, and over 500,000 sq ft. of exhibit space that
include complex audio visual requirements with budgets of over
$150,000. She has successfully planned and executed over 200 events
throughout the US, Canada and England. She has also created amazing
themed parties for over 5,000 guests and produced award shows with top
talent including Ellen DeGeneres and Arnold Schwarzenegger. She has
been responsible for numerous annual events with sponsors such as;
NIKE, AVIA and Reebok and others. Her event marketing and promotion
experience includes content selection and campaign leadership for
traditional, web and social media outreach for attracting and
accommodating attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. Ms. Chartier
obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San
Diego. She also holds a Convention Liaison Council, Certified Meeting
Professional Certificate.
